Barestep - No delivery on promise!!

We ordered shoes from Barestep on Saturday, 3 June 2023 and was informed that the shoes would be delivered between Wednesday, 7 and Friday 9 June 2023. The Courier Guy, which is the courier contracted by Barestep twice indicated that the order was out for delivery during the period. However, by Monday, 12 June 2023, the shoes had still not been delivered. I sent an email to Barestep (no telephone number is provided) to enquire. And have enquired several times since, as the shoes have still not been delivered and it is now Monday, 19 June 2023!! The standard response from Laura is this: "Your parcel is our for delivery. Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. I am always here and happy to help." No explanation for why the shoes have not been delivered. No indication that Barestep has followed up with the courier. My husband finally phoned the courier on 14 June 2023 and was told that the parcel was in the Eastern Cape - heaven alone knows why when the delivery address clearly states Centurion. My husband was then informed that the shoes would be delivered today, but I received an email from The Courier Guy saying that the "business was closed when they arrived" on 15 June 2023 (in the Eastern Cape???!!!!) and therefore if they were not able to deliver the next time they will go out the order will be returned to the sender. IT IS NOT THE CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY to chase the order and follow up with the courier contracted by Barestep!!!!!!!
