Bad attitude from Owner of Restaurant

I am so upset with the Owner of this restaurant. I think he is the Owner? I was there with a friend this evening having pizza and wine, I have been going there for their pizza and a wine for a few years now and I always enjoy the service of the waiters/waitresses. He was so rude tonight. I asked him about having a small function at his restaurant early January and he was so unpleasant. I would think in these times, he would appreciate a crowd of about 30 people for pizza and drinks, he did not entertain it and was quite abrupt when I asked about booking for my function. It has left a bitter taste. I will not go back there, very sad and disappointing.
