We never in our lives have had such a bad restuarant service. The service was absolutely atrocious, actually none existent! We booked a table for two for 19h45 and on arrival were eventually seated by 20h00. Which was rather surprising as they did not seem overly busy. We ordered our drinks which we only recieved at about 20h20, so straight away placed our dinner order which was rather simple, two steaks and salad with no sauces. Then ....... the wait began! By 21h00, with our bottle of red wine we ordered to pair with the steaks being half finished, we asked the duty manager when we would be getting our meal. All she could do was say sorry and she didn't know, and that lots were complaining about the service. By 22h20, with no sign of our steaks even being put on the grill, we decided to leave. By this time the restaurant was fairly empty! Really who wants to eat a huge steak at nearly 23h00. So what was supposed to be a romantic Friday evening out for a steak after our game of squash at our club, was not to be! We could not believe it, how this could happen at a restaurant that advertises on its website booking that our table booking is limited from 19h45 to 21h45, and if we were a group celebrating we needed to request a longer time from the duty manager. WHAT A JOKE!
