What a horrible way to to treat paying customers, so heartless considering you are dealing with peoples health.

really disappointing service from Bankmed. unfortunately my children have been to casualty numerous times due to what I consider to be medical emergencies from head injuries to bronchopneumonia. to my shock Bankmed just informed me that a broken bones are not an emergency, This after my 3 year old son son broke one of the bones on his foot and was obviously in tremendous pain and could not walk. we had to pay for the exrays from our pockets as they refused to cover the procedure under the scheme rate. I called bankmed so they could make me understand what according to them they consider emergencies and send me a list they could not do that. i logged a query on the 15th and i still have not received any feedback. my son due for a follow up appointment today where further exrays will be conducted as to see how the bone is healing however Bankmed is still unable to give any answers or assistance. What a horrible way to to treat paying customers so heartless considering you are dealing with peoples health.

Good day the reason I advised your consultants that the matter was urgent was because my son was due for a follow up today to further assess his injuries. As stated the query was submitted on the 15th. I also sent the report to you myself. But I guess it's not urgent enough to you because it doesn't affect your child or any of your family members. So if it takes months for the hospital to send the report that I have already sent you , my son will have to wait. You are so heartless and should be ashamed. Our premiums have never been late because we are waiting for some reports. You get your money on time every month. I hope you sleep well at night knowing that my child was denied health care because of some report.

Bankmed is a shame. It's been five days since the query was raised and as an organization you have failed or been unwilling to assist with the problem. Besides calling the hospital and asking them to send you the clinical report, what other measures were taken, seeing that it's been five days and you have not received the report?
Secondly, no solution was ever suggested or provided. I am a paying customer and your next reply needs to be a solution to this problem. I don't need an update that you are waiting for a clinical report, I have heard that the entire week

I assume the person behind the reply's is from the complaints department, please answer the below questions and tell me if you are satisfied with the manner that this matter has been handled.

1. What is the customer actually complaining about?

2. What went wrong?
3. Why did the breakdown occur?
4. How was the issue resolved?
5. What is being done to prevent it from happening again in future?

Bankmed just advised me that a fracture is not a broken bone so they won't cover it under the medical aid scheme. I'm really not making this up, just spoke to Selina. It's unbelievable
