USELESS MEDICAL AID

On the 28/07/2025 @ 23:45 i was rushed to casualty at flora clinic and upon my arrival I was attended to by Dr RJ Francis I was admitted in hospital , 5 months later i receive an invoice from him stating that i have an outstanding bill of R7000

Firstly i went to a hospital that is contracted with the medical aid

I have never ever in my whole entire history being on different medical aid schemes have ever heard that upon hospitalization i need to ask a treating Dr in hospital that they are contracted with Bankmed , it is utter nonsense , a person arriving to hospital in pain is suppose to verify treating Dr's if they are contracted with this useless scheme

I have been requested to ask the Dr who treated me in July for a letter to confirm that he was the only Dr available on the day of my admission IS THAT NOT ******* THAT I AM REQUESTED TO DO

Furthermore to this nonsense of a medical aid , the Dr requested I do a g-scope which happened , You wont believe I owe the Anesthetic R4000 because his also not contracted by them and i was also to verify with him if his contracted with Bankmed , Am guessing all those DR in the theatre on that day i will have to pay

The issue here is that one takes up this stupid useless medical aid with the employer thinking that it will assist you in time of need however it turns out that It is a useless scheme and its as good as not having medical aid for hospital treatment

This is as good as having a scheme covering DR 's only

To everyone who is on a basic plan i trust you better run if you do not want to owe Dr fees while you in hospital

YOU ARE NOT ON A MEDICAL AID SCHEME YOU ARE JUST ON A PLAN THAT HAS UNLIMITED DR VISITS THAT ALL
