Useless medical aid

First of all when I app**** I was not given information about different options. I choose the cheapest option because I don't get sick often. I went to get specs last week and I had to pay R630. and now I have an eye infection and I went to Lesedi hospital and they told me to pay R2500. What's the point of having a medical aid then? No Doctor wants to help with the Basic option I have. I can't get medication over the counter. I'm young and don't have kids......I can't be going through such pain. I want to change my option.....that's all
