Sickening

I was in a pain and sick on the 07th August 2018. Went to the Doctor for Consultation. Doctor referred me to the Hospital to do X-rays. I then received an sms last week telling me that i need to pay the amount of R531.20 for the radiologist that i went to at Zamokuhle Hospital.

Contacted the medical aid today and spoke to Enihle Nkomiyapi, whose Manger is Andisiwa Mzamane. She advised me that they won't pay for the claim because i was supposed to call in for authorization, it doesn't make sense that the Doctor gave me a referral letter to go to the Hospital but i still had to call in for authorization to visit the Hospital. How can i call in when i'm in pain and dying at the time, do i really need authorization that i'm dying when my medical aid covers for this. Enihle also confirmed that the medical aid does cover but because i didn't call first , then they won't pay for that amount.

i pay close to R2000 for my medical aid and other medication from my own Pocket, which amounts to R3300 per month.. I can't afford to take out more money for things that the medical aid covers. Why do i have medical if i can't use it?
