Refusal to pay for Chronic Medication
Firstly Bankmed undermines clients on the basic plan. I moved from Dicovery to Bankmed in July, the had my full profile from diccovery before I moved. Once I moved to them they then started refusing to pay for my chronic medication, which is generic and costs less than R200 a month.
Today I went to a pharmacy to get my medication and they offered to pay only R1.95 and I was told its a system issue for members on basic plan.
When you threaten to leave them for another medical aid, they do not show any interest on solving my concerns or wanting to keep me as a member for them is about money as long as the get their money at the end of the month.
They have a lot of policies and rules attached to the basic plan to make our life hell.
My experience with Bankmed is terrible people, but I will find a few to leave them.
Regards
