Poor standards

On 17 September I called Bankmed for authorisation for a procedure and provided them with the ICD10 codes. The consultant who gave me the approval confirmed that no copayment was required from me, I repeated this fact and she again confirmed. Now two weeks later the hospital calls me and tells me that an amount of R1650 is due because I am supposed to pay it on admission. I called Bankmed and a gentleman by the name of Robert again confirmed no payment required from me. Again this week another call from the hospital asking when I would be paying the R1650, after I confirmed twice that it is not a requirement. Netcare advised that Bankmed advised them that I should pay the R1650. So I am not sure who is right and who is wrong. I have asked for a recording of the call where approval was given and am not getting anything from Bankmed. Can you please sort this out.

Hi there. Please get someone to call me as it looks like the lady I spoke to did not leave any comments on the system. Hospital says the amount is outstanding and you are saying you did not receive the correct form from them. I have just emailed the invoice and statement from Christean at Netcare which she sent to Charmaine Molele at Discovery. So I am not sure what the problem is now.
