Pathetic

I been paying for medical aid since 2012 until now. Yes I have had minor claims like dentistry but nothing major. Just over a month ago I found out that I am expecting so which obviously means that I will be visiting the gynaecologist atleast once a month for the necessary consultations. I have visited the gynaecologist twice so far when I was due to go back for a follow up I was told that I need to pay R1000 upfront as I have run out of funds. I feel that this is extremely unfair I pay medical aid so that in a situation like this I don't have to worry about cash. Surely bankmed should accommodate for pregnancy.
