Only 6 months cover for contraceptive

Very disappointed. i walked into the pharmacy to collect my monthly repeat of Diane(which was prescribed by my Dr). every month medical covered the costs. this was the 7th month and i had to pay cash. each box cost approx R230. i was extremely disappointed as i cannot get another type of Pill as i need it for a condition that i have.

i went to check my plan as i thought maybe if i upgrade my plan that it would cover me for a full 12 months, but i was once again disappointed as it is the same amount for every plan. this is quite upsetting as contraceptives is very important in this day and age.

i would assume that all medical aids should cover costs for all contraceptives for all females members. although i have not yet been happy with bankmed service so i don't expect good service anymore.
