Non payment of an account

In January I had to have three blood tests, LDL, Glucose and Insulin. The insulin test was not paid by Bankmed because \We have not paid this amount, as it is outside the scope of our cover. Unfortunately, medical proof doesn't support its effectiveness and long-term outcome. You are responsible for paying this amount.\". Never mind that the test was ordered by my GENERAL PRACTITIONER, no - some medical scientist at Bankmed, who has no flipping clue as to my medical history, has determined that I do not need this test!!! As it turns out, my insulin is high and I need medication for it. What next??? Are they going to decide what tests my Cardiologist should and should not be ordering? Why not just go the whole hog and have these brilliant medical experts treat members, as they obviously know better.<br> <br> Next time I have the need to consult with a doctor, instead of paying a consultation fee, I will send through my symptoms to Bankmed experts to determine any treatment/tests they feel I need which will be covered.<br> <br> "
