I was a doctor who checked my dependent /daughter who has a lump, doctor referred me to the Radiologist to do clinical checks and scans to my child who is 15 years of age and my medical aid said I should send all the doctors practices after all the inconvenience of sending those details and waiting hours at the Radiologist with a scheduled Appointment after being on hold for hours then am told Authorisations declined to pay funds as the child is less than 40years. It does not make sense to me why they can cover for my Mamogram and not my daughter who is under 40years. Medical Aid Schemes are indeed as **** and money making scheme. At this point I am disappointed at Bankmed as my Medical Aid.
