Mouthfull of nothing

<p>My daughter has to get teeth removed and her lower jaw adjusted as well as braces. The opp is going to cost a pretty penny and our wonderfull medical aid is offering us R7100 per annum, per family, for orthedontist procedures (that is R1775.00 per person). NOW, the wonderfull story is, Bankmed is now underwritten by Discovery. We did a comparison on the current plan that we have with bankmed and to Discovery's lowest plan. Discovery offers R11k per person per annum! Why the difference? We send our request to Bankmed to review theis cost and we get a wonderfull, computer generated e mail giving us hope and then when you read to response, it just say, <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>We hope this clarifies the reasons for declining your request</strong></span></em> but no ****** reason was given. I think this is very bad and very impersonal. <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Zizo Sotyantya </strong></span>, </em>if it is not too much of an effort, please contact your clients or clarify the reason why you are declining client's request for assistance. And what the sad thing is, Bankmed was a top notch medical aid but hell no, I feel sorry for the members. Please can BANKMED, clarify why we cannot be helped? Why should a child be refused treatment because BANKMED IS USING A rigorous, evidence-based decision-making process that jeopardise our childrens future?. Why do we then have a medical aid where you pay thousands of rands but cant get treatment. Who can we contact to escelate the matter?</p>
