Monthly Contribution

I've been a member of Bankmed since 1965. Since January 2016 Discovery Health Medical Scheme took over the administration of Bankmed. To my dismay I notice that my monthly contribution is not according to the booklet sent to members in November but is based on the 2nd highest tax bracket! With Bankmed I've paid according to my annual income as pensioner. I've phoned them on the 6th of January 2016 and request someone to call me. I've also send an e-mail to lodge my complaint. How many other members are being ****** this way. During November I've also changed to a cheaper plan (Core Saver Plan). I've made my decision according to options given to me on page 4 on the booklet. My wife has Ankylosing Spondolytis and we never had any problems claiming chronic medicine for this condition. Nowhere in the booklet for 2016 does is stipulate under the Core Saver plan that Ankylosing Spondolytis are not covered. What a shock to discover on the new Bankmed/Discovery Health website that this illness falls outside PMB's being covered. Surely Bankmed should advise a person that based on their medical records they are making the wrong decision by choosing another plan?
