MEDICAL AID EXPLOITING WOMAN
I was sick a couple of weeks ago, my Dr needed to prescribe medication for me but she had to ensure I wasn't pregnant 1st. I did a pregnancy test but the medical aid refused to pay for the test saying they don't cover pregnancy test. what kind of a medical aid that doesn't pay for a pregnancy test. was my doctor supposed to give me meds without ensuring my safety 1st??? i PAY MORE THAN R2000 A MONTH FOR A MEDICAL AID THAT'S EXPLOITING MY BASIC NEEDS.

We can confirm that the pregnancy test is covered under code 4451 on your plan, however as the claim submitted by your GP for your treatment on 12 February 2018 confirmed the code 4450 this was not covered.
Code 4450 is not on the Basic plan formulary and is not covered under your plan. Kindly contact your GP to send us an updated invoice.
