Incorrect processing of claims
My daughter, Leila Mia Maistry has asthma, and Bankmed is fully aware of this fact, because they approved her chronic medication under the chronic benefit of my plan. Inspite of this, they stubbournly refuse to pay 100% of all billed amounts when my daughter is hospitilized due to her asthma. I am on the verge of beiing handed over by Olivedale Clinic for a R 500 co-payment that I am not even liable to pay in the first place. She was hospitilized from the 10th to the 12th of October 2014, because she had a broncho-spasm, which is asthma related. I was shocked to see that Bankmed also refused to pay a R 500 co-payment for my husband, Trevor Maistry, when he was hospitilized last year on the 29th of July to the 3rd of August due to an acute infection of the epididimis gland..This was an emergency hospitilization, not a planned one, why am I liable for a co-payment...I refuse to pay R 1000 that I am not liable to pay. Please be so kind as to correct this urgently and call me once done.
