*********** company leaving me in incorrect 'debt'

THANKFULLY I have left the financial services industry and don't have to have medical aid with such an *********** company.

Two weeks ago I got told I 'owe' Bankmed R4400 because my membership got canceled effective 31 December 2018 yet I only received notice of this cancelation on 30 January 2019.

There are numerous emails where my current employer and myself specifically told Bankmed to cancel my membership as I couldn't go onto another medical aid while my membership was active. Correspondence from Bankmed was that my previous employer had to cancel my membership and I couldn't do it in my own capacity. Naturally, I had medical expenses in January 2019 which now I am being told to pay for because 'my membership was cancelled'?? How was my membership canceled when it was still active till 30 January 2019. This *********** company is basically saying if I had medical expenses of R250k during January, they would be telling me to pay for it now because they didn't cancel my membership as specifically requested, and timeously for me to get onto another medical aid.... How does that even make logical sense?

There's sufficient email evidence to back my case. So, unfortunately because no one has bothered to rectify this matter or respond to my email detailing step by step how Bankmed was in error, I am escalating this matter on all platforms. I am not willing to have my perfect credit record distorted because of someone else's error. Someone must fix this.
