Has Bankmed sold it's members out to Discovery?

Last year (December) I had a sports injury which resulted in two procedures being done. The first was an arthroscopy of the knee to confirm severed ACL ligament and to clear up Meniscus tear. Second procedure to actually repair the ACL was planed for 21 January. It could only be done after physio completed to stretch tightened leg to be ready for the ACL op. Hospital cost on Bankmed Traditional was R500 admission fee. Now to do the 2nd part (and most important part), Bankmed no longer has arrangement with that hospital (MediClinic Louis Leipoldt) and so a R11,000 co-payment required, plus the R500. That is 23 times the previous cost. Of course, my doctor does not operate at the four other Bankmed hospital options (which are all much further away), and so I must fork out, or re-start with a new doctor. What a waste as previous doctor did arthroscopy and has seen the damage 1st hand. This is just 1 problem. My Bankmed history previously available on website is now no longer available as Discovery is the new administrator, so what was a benefit is now worthless. Another issue is that last month's prescribed medicine for knee injury did not cost me anything but now R500 copayment due
