For a person not to pay over and above the monthly cost of medical aid, Bankmed has forced us to use the PPN Network for doctors, pharmacies, etc. These PPN pharmacies still charge over the scheme rate, so I cannot understand what benefit we are getting by using them. We already paying an exuberant amount for a proper medical aid, but still have to pay in all the time. This is becoming a money making business, because the service we receive from these "PPN" network is totally below standard and not worth the money we paying. Get sick once and expect all your savings to be depleted to get better, and that is also not a guarantee because of the quality of the service and doctors that we are forced to see to avoid paying more.
