Disclosure of private information

<p> </p> <p>It has recently come to my attention that my private and confidential medical information was provided by Deshen Moodley to my ex on 4 February 2016. I would like immediate clarity under who’s authority this information this was provided to her as this is a clear and distinct violation of the protection of personal information act.</p> <p> </p> <p>Not only were detailed break downs of medications provided to my ex but a detailed and descriptive list of my hospital admissions were provided with absolutely no attempt to request my consent for this disclosure. Please note this matter which you so hap hazardly provided my personal information and private medical information on is subject to an on-going and current legal custody battle and divorce case and should this influence my case negatively due to the pure negligent behaviour of your staff I will hold Bank med full accountable for the legal liability thereof.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please note I am well aware my ex was the principal member at the time of this request this still does not forgo the need for you as a medical aid body to ensure your staff are adequately trained and updated on legislative requirements for information disclosure.</p> <p> </p> <p>I expect telephonic contact with a team manager regarding this matter within the next 48 hours or I will proceed to approach the relevant authorities regarding your negligent disclosure of my information.</p> <p> </p>
