I took my daughter to a DSP dentist,the bankmed dentistry and medical aid is refusing to pay for services rendered. Saying the ICD 10 codes were used in may - what BS. NOWHERE does it stipulate that those codes used can only be used once every 6 months. My daughter had an infection in her mouth, her gums was swollen, she wasn't eating, she was sitting with a slight fever for a whole week, the Friday i couldn't see my child suffer like that anymore as she didn't eat the whole day, which resulted in us taking her to the dentist at 5.30 the evening. The dentist could not confirm 'benefits' as the medical aid was already closed. Now i get a bill and only R35.00 has been paid. what bull! They can check the dentist visits for last year my daughter was not there more than twice or even once, so what happens to those funds???? The dentist did not remove no abscess, did not perform brain surgery, all she did was clean the teeth and said that she has an infection in her mouth. She then wrote a script for antibiotics and the antiseptic mouth wash. So bankmed and the stupid dentistry they affiliated with should cover this account as i am not paying a cent - its enough the medication was not covered for.

There is absolutely no transparency, they are not ethical! I am paying every month thousands of rand for this **** - this is bull sh*t!
