cornea transplant for eye disease

I have been suffering from a eye disease called keratoconus from a young age. Basically my vision is deteriorating all the time.... I am very near sighted...especially at night if you are 3 metres away from me I can't see you or make out who you are....I always have to sit right infront in meeting and still can't make out what's on the board or projector even as a student I had to struggle..... This has really affected my quality of life personally and to some degree professionally.<br> <br> I could go on with how this has affected me but let me just pose a question. Why won't bankmed pay for a corneal transplant???<br> <br> If you do research on the disease you will see that if corrective surgery does not work that the only option is corneal transplant.<br> <br> You guys have covered all my corrective operations on both my eyes. Which I am thankful for. It was successful on my right eye but my left eye unfortunately not.<br> <br> Is there someone in bankmed that will consider how this affects my life and not just throw the book at me. You can even look at my medical history for my eyes and see why I am requesting for a review.<br> <br> I really think that bankmed does not take eye diseases and vision as a priority.<br> <br>
