Bankmed Partial Payment

Remind me again why must I pay so much money for a medical aid and a savings plan, but when stuff needs to be paid, I need to deal with account enquiries and legal nonsense, all day everyday.

Received an oustanding account for a procedure I had to get done at mediclinic, only to find bankmed did not pay the anaesthesiologists in full, and I was not notified for this, my question, why was my savings plan not involved to cover the difference?

Contacted the anaesthesiologists department and was only told that Bankmed only covered their portion, It’s my responsibility to sort the rest.

I do not have control over who was going to be my anaesthesiologist for this surgery and whether they charge within or outside the rates. Yet I’m liable to pay the service provider, having a savings plan WITH AVAILABLE SAVINGS that could have been clearly used.

I so wish I was not forced by my employer to be with this medical aid. Now in the beginning of a new month I need to cough up money that I don’t have.

Absolutely **********, my same surgery of 5 years ago was not even this much of a problem.
