Bankmed don't even consider a motivation letter from Optomitrist

I am very unhappy with Bankmed at this stage. I have claimed for contact lenses for the current year where they only pay for six months supply. I have had problems with my eyes the last few months with regards to that the contact lenses are causing extreme irritation to my eyes and lids and a motivation was send to Bankmed from Torga Opticalto enquire if they would kindly consider to cover for spectacles. Which they refuse to cover. Do they expect me to continue wearing contact lenses that could damage my eyes. Below is the motivation that was send to them:

Dear Bankmed Please accept this letter as motivation to pay for a pair of spectacles for the patient. At the time of consultation Mr Greyling was prescribed contact lenses, however the contact lenses are causing extreme irritation of his eyes and lids. Contact lenses are not a suitable visual correction for him.
