Bankmed Benefits only a quarter of the contributions

I honestly am very disappointed with Bankmed. My family and I hardly need medical attention. There are 4 members and we can actually go for two months without any of us visiting a Dr or the hospital. However, whenever we do, and the Dr request any tests esp bloods, months later I always find my name listed by the respective laboratory because Bankmed would have not paid. There is no test that we took and we never had to pay for it. I dont even know how many collectors have my name because of blood test. I pay R5000 a month and i can confirm that we only required medical attention for an aggregate of less than 20days for a family of 4, but the amount of money that I have had to pay extra on those vists really has got me thinking if i really need Bankmed's services or not. For my family and I, our benefits are only a quarter of what i contribute. My decision for 2019 is to cancel my membership with Bankmed by transferring to my wife's medical aid which she pays way less and get the same benefit as i do. To be honest, it is not fair for companies to force employees to have a medical aid esp in this case with Bankmed, which is not worth it.
