Bankmed a medical aid that will make you sick

<p>About 2 weeks ago I needed to see a doctor my normal doctor was not around so I called bankmed to refer me to a doctor closer to me because I wasn't feeling well. They referred me to some doctor who was amazing. after my consultation the doctor said he wants money to be paid up front and said I will claim the money back from my medical aid. A claim was submitted on the 28th of December. Bankmed sent me an email confirming they have received it and one of their consultants called me to confirm that money will be deposited into my account. I have been calling them every day the past week and the week we are currently on. The response I get it "The funds have been released, let me confirm with my TL" then I get to hold for 10 if not 15 minutes. The consultant comes back saying "we have a backlog on our finance department but I am going to send this as an urgent request for them to release the fund" i have been getting that same response for the past week. I'm tired. Irritated I don't even want to talk to them anymore. Why would they refer me to a doctor who will request funds upfront and why does it take weeks for them to pay me my money back. I have been with bankmed for almost 2 years not once did I miss a payment, but when they have to pay me they start telling me of a backlog. The funds do to me are half of what I pay them monthly. I STILL WANT MY MONEY
