Authorisation delay

My hospital authorization has been in the pipes for 10 days. I've submitted all necessary information and letters from 2 doctors. The treatment is now tomorrow, 2nd December. I have called numerous times and am only told that its been escalated and will be contacted today. I am waiting without guarantee that anyone will get back to me. I have no idea what happens at the end of today if no-one gets back to me. <br> <br> It seems like the people I hear from have no control over the authorization and it's being delayed higher up, without any transparent communication from those involved. I appreciate their help, but someone needs to get it done.
