WEAK BUILDING MATERIALS
I stay at The Blyde and can someone kindly please explain to me why the building materials used here are so weak? I can literally hear the person above me doing their business in the bathroom and IN BED, do you understand how disgusting that is? I can hear their kids running around the whole day and that’s disturbing because I work from home. Where is the privacy ? It honestly doesn’t feel like i’m staying in a 1 million rand apartment. I regret it so much.

21 Jan 2025, 15:17 Dear Amogelang,
Thank you for reaching out. Our developments are ISO certified which means that quality, health and safety, and environmental impact are audited by accredited independent experts. Our materials are some of the best in the industry, and we make use of eco floor slabs for better insulation than other materials available. Harmonious sectional title living in any development requires neighbours to be considerate, especially with regards to the activities you mentioned. We strongly urge you to report these noise disturbances to the estate management, who will monitor this and implement remedial action. This could include issuing warnings, implementing stricter noise policies, and / or increasing security patrols during peak noise hours.
Thank you

We agree that this is a delicate matter and needs to be addressed sensitively. Potentially, your neighbours may not even be aware of the inconvenience caused. A sincere note could make them aware of this. It doesn’t necessarily have to pertain to ablution noises, but any kinds of disturbances. Off course if this doesn’t work, you have the option of taking it up with the estate manager. Reach out to us at *** if you would like to discuss in person.
Thank you
