Not fiber ready
Service doesn’t exist! Constant internet outages here at the Fynbos! Had to advise balwin fiber to sms residents to keep us updated on outages! As they had not communicated this with the relevant ISPs and were left in the dark in regard to these outages. This has become a joke now! This is affecting my job and my career and yet there is no emergency from balwin fibers side to ensure this is not an reoccurring issue.

As notified to all residents our main node where we have Eskom power was ******, power backups run dead due to cable theft, Eskom repaired the line temporarily but had to complete repairs again today between 8:00 and 17:00

14 Sept 2020, 13:18Could this not have been communicated this morning? This service is honestly ridiculous! Besides the cable theft the internet outages have been reoccurring issue! And doesn’t seem to have change since the opening of this complex!

14 Sept 2020, 13:39Damian, you would need to advise your ISP. The ticket number is logged and unit number for us to be able to go any further or see if the ISP passed on or reported the faults.

14 Sept 2020, 16:08The down times previously mentioned had had nothing to do with ISP it has to do with the connection which is being routed/satellite fibre connection from de zicht to fynbos and when the wind blew or it rained the connection would continuously drop! This fibre infrastructure at the fynbos is clearly not fiber ready!
