Evasive ,*********, Developer Stay Away from them

Balwin Properties , Their so Called "Balwin Quality" A joke !!!! The sales team , Friendly promises are made once the sale is executed they do not care from there they disappear in plane sight . I recently purchased a unit at the Blyde whereby the hand over was done on the 7th June 2019 , First advise to people purchasing from this developer * Do not BUY , *Second advise please do not sign that handover sheet until you have checked every single aspect of the unit as they will charge you Levies and Electricity for communal areas and then use it against you . *Third advise - They charge you electricity for Communal areas on a daily basis they say that the solar reduces the electricity bill , however it is R0.10c I am willing for Forward Stss Billing to anyone whom requires this information . *Forth Advise there is an Effluent charge monthly R500 its there but no one explains it to you ,so add the effluent to your Rates and Levies !!!!!! Basically almost R2000 a month I reported multiple issues with my unit namely : -Toilets non-functional - Kitchen Tiles were Cracket - There was a space between a Plug and tile - Front door was Cut Skew (Which caused the apartment to have cold air filter through the door ) -Crack on Room Wall - Painting had shoe marks all over the wall . -Fridge had a dent . -Kitchen had a opened nail which luckily grazed my wife’s foot . -The Skirting of the Kitchen units all Loose . -Kitchen Chipboards all looked like they were swelling . ( I have pictures and Videos Should anyone require pictures ) A week later no one had responded to my so called Snags . I therefore requested the Attorneys to delay the registration until my snags where resolved , Guess what the Forman from Balwin contacted me and says that they are working on the Unit. 2 weeks later , the Forman had advised that there was a defected Pipe and the toilets will be replaced which was only replaced on the 25th of June , We then discovered that there was a crack on the bedroom wall , Which was then repaired a week later . My agent could not market the property as we cannot lease out a defected unit resulting in a loss !! I do not find it fair that I become responsible for the Levies I received a R1000 invoice for levies for the month , upon querying the Levies Balwin insist that they will not pay the levies as I signed the handover sheet , I asked Balwin how did they expect me to test the toilets ?? it flushed yes but the Stool did not flush away how to I test the toilets that same second when they are requesting you to sign the handover sheet ?? No response from Balwin In excitement you sign the Handover sheet , which immediately initiates the Levies and Electricity . Whilst they take forever to fix the Unit . Please do not Deal with Balwin and there people I have raised the issue with Balwin 3 weeks ago to date I am still waiting for someone to reply .... Well done Balwin ... Should anyone require pics or videos or information as to when the issues where logged please feel free to leave your contact details I will gladly email you the issues . I hope that no one experience the mental turmoil that I have experienced from Balwin and would never recommend them nor purchase a property from them again .
