Disgusted Resident
Every single night I go for a walk around the lagoon there is half eaten food and garbage on the beach. Balwin does not clean up after hotel and airbnb guests leaves. I went for a walk by the lagoon tonight and its absolutely revolting to find dog **** right on the edge of the pool in the lagoon . How can dog owners and Balwin let this slide? Its really dissapointing that some people have no respect for shared spaces. The thought of going for a swim after these heavy storms we’ve been having , finding dog **** and half eaten food in the water 🤢

19 Feb 2025, 13:21Good day Celine, Following your earlier comments on litter and pet waste around the lagoon area, we conducted an investigation and would like to provide some clarity. The lagoon is cleaned regularly, and what may have appeared to be pet waste was, in fact, bird droppings - something that, while unavoidable in an outdoor setting, is managed as part of our routine cleaning efforts. We completely understand how frustrating it can be to encounter litter, and we share your disappointment when residents or visitors do not dispose of waste responsibly. While our cleaning teams work diligently to maintain a clean and enjoyable environment, it is also a shared responsibility. We continue to invest significantly in upkeep and encourage all residents and guests to do their part in keeping The Blyde pristine. Please know that we have noted your concerns and will continue to reinforce our cleaning protocols. If you have any further questions or suggestions, we’d be happy to discuss them.
Best regards The Balwin Team
