De Zicht rented property.
I stayed in a Balwin flat(Rented) for almost 3 years and my time there was mostly fine. Had a few issues with the board committee but that isn't really a reflection of Balwin. And the flat I stayed in isn't owned by Balwin, but the agents I worked through are Balwin agents and more specifically my issue is with the Balwin Client Liaison. Because I decided to move out end of November 2021 but I still had a lease until end of March 2022. But to move out the estate manager didn't approve my movement request form because the agent had to send conformation that I was moving out, which I then requested. And I very clearly stated that I was moving out but have no intention to break the lease agreement until end of March. After moving out en of November however my access to the property had been revoked even though I had specifically said I have no intention of ending my lease. And now that my lease had actually come to an end I have had to request my deposit back numerous times and I am not getting any answers.
The agent keeps asking me to do a exit inspection, I have had to write 3 separate explaining that I do not have access to the property and I have not been back since end of November because they revoked my access but this is apparently quite difficult to grasp. And even if it was possible I don't see the point because I happen to know that the property in question is currently in use. So how can I even be held liable for any damages? And on top of that the lease clearly states exit inspection has to be the day of moving out or within 7 days if the agents is not available. I have written countless frustrated emails just for them to be ignored. I have email chains that usually only get a reply after the third email. I have had many phone calls go unanswered. This has been a very frustrating and infuriating experience and Balwin should refine these processes because there would have been no mention of my security deposit if I did not ask for it. They even asked me for record of the deposit I paid, presumably because they either lost record or are just plain too lazy to go look for it.
To sum up this has been the most shocking and appalling experience with a agent even the email etiquette used is absolutely appalling and I expected better.
Shame on you Balwin.
