Balwin
They charge us to much for water and electricity. They will call you and ask you to remove reviews but if you call to ask for them to resolve the problems they are not talking to renters The estate where I live in it is run by people not knowing what they are doing But they will charge you with fees and will fine you for anything even if there is a chair or a broom on your balcony aka first fine is R1000 then it goes up .It feels like we are living in a prison and I am writing this review alone but I am talking for 40 people on a whatsapp group that just want to leave and dont want any beef with the estate because they talk to us and treat us like children.And please for anyone in the bussiness dont call me or tell me where I live and what I do to try and intimidate me to remove this because this is what is happening

21 Aug 2024, 13:18Greenbay eco estate but there is a group of people from 2 other estates of Balwin that also sit with the same problem as we do in Greenbay (we have a group in Greenbay with 178 people trying to stay alive with the money that is being taken from them without any reason)

• Municipal tariffs are set by City of Cape Town/Eskom/City of Johannesburg and are charged without margin.
• NetVendor charges a flat 7% fee. There are no commercial ties to Balwin and any contrary claims are false.
• Billing covers utilities which include electricity, water and sanitation. The meters are high-quality EU meters, unaffected by load shedding.
• Meters are read daily; real-time updates are not available.
• Balwin offers residents a 10% electricity savings through solar solutions where applicable.
• Municipal tariffs rise annually in July, affecting overall costs. Although residents’ usage may remain consistent, the amount deducted will be more as the rate per unit increases.
• Seasonal behavior during colder and wetter winter months and step-up rates from the City of Cape Town can increase consumption costs.
• Landsdowne will provide benchmarks for average consumption based on apartment size. Any anomalies will be investigated by them, once reported. More information will be shared with residents in this regard.
