Disgusting Managent Balducci's

My son arrived early December and, as he a Vegan, we tried Balducci's at the Waterfront, which offer a Vegan menu. As we ordered our food he told, and asked the waiter to check, if what we ordered contained nuts (he is very alergic!) - there was no mention of nuts on the menu of what we ordered. However, our starter had a sauce which definitely contained nuts!!! The reaction he had was immediate and, having left his antihistamines in his jacket, he ran off to find an open pharmacy, but all was closed. You cannot imagine my panic when he didn't return within 15 minutes so I ran off looking for him, alerting Security, and running around like a crazy old lady. Having no luck finding him I returned to Balduccis praying he would be there. He was! And I must say that the Manager and one of the waiters (not ours) were very helpful - giving him turmeric water and calling the Medics (who took an age to arrive!!!) The Medics offered to give him an adrenaline shot - which could have ****ed him. So we left and rushed home to take the necessary pills. He sent an email to the "Management" who were NOTHING but rude. No apology. No we will look into the matter. Pretty much "your tough luck" Walk past this restaurant lately and it is always busy and I would like to give a shout out to those people who suffer from any kind of alergy - DON'T go to Balducci's if you value your life. My son could have lost his!!!
