Diwali Cake Ripoff

After telephoning the Baking Pan, I placed an order in store on 1 Nov 2015 for 20 Diwali cakes. Price of normal Diwali cakes we were told was R25. After some discussion, the on-site manager for that day agreed to give us the standard size Gateau cakes (normally R40 off the shelf) for R30 each, since we were taking large quantity. The Gateaus are larger than the normal Diwali cakes & we paid a R300 (50%) deposit. I went to collect on 11 Nov & to my horror they supp**** me the normal Diwali cakes NOT the larger Gateau size I ordered. They plain failed to listen to reason & then said the Diwali cakes were R30 instead of R25! I know that they WERE NOT else I would have not bothered with upsizing the order in the first place! Instead they chose to argue with me & insulted my intelligence, treating me as if I had NO idea what I was talking about. They said they would refund my deposit, but what good would that do? I had a commitment to deliver all those cakes on the same day of collection. Needless to day, I will NEVER EVER visit that pathetic establishment again. They have lost a once loyal customer & I will make sure that all my friends & family no longer support them either.
