Bakers Biscuit Surprise

I had purchased a packet of lemon creams biscuit from a Pick 'n Pay in Malvern, the packet was perfectly sealed, nothing on the outside of the packaging that could've alarmed us in anyway.

However, when we had opened the packet, towards the middle of the row there was a biscuit cover in red / wine colour stuff.

At first I thought it was blood and To be honest I'm not sure if that's what it even is.

I am really disappointed with the experience I have encountered.
