BAIC BEIJING X55 - 2 MONTHS WITH NO A/C

I am extremely disappointed in both BAIC South Africa and the approved service centre, Nearco Motor Group.

My BAIC Beijing X55 Premium 2024 model vehicle was diagnosed on 3 December 2025 with a failed aircon compressor. I was informed the part would be submitted for warranty approval and replacement. Almost two months later, nothing has been resolved.

What concerns me most is:

• This is a BAIC-approved workshop • No clear timeline has ever been provided • Communication has been poor and unprofessional • I keep receiving automated replies instead of real updates • My vehicle remains unrepaired after weeks of waiting plus i drove two full months with no a/c and its freaking hot.

As a BAIC customer, I expect the brand to ensure its approved centres deliver acceptable service standards. A warranty repair should not take months with zero accountability.

BAIC South Africa needs to intervene urgently and assist in resolving this matter. Right now, this experience makes me regret choosing the BAIC brand.

Dear Mr Jeetesh,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced. We fully understand how unacceptable it is to be without air conditioning for an extended period, especially under current weather conditions, and we regret that this situation has negatively impacted your ownership experience.

What you have described does not align with the service standards BAIC South Africa expects from either our brand or our approved service partners. We acknowledge your concerns regarding the prolonged delay, lack of clear timelines, and inadequate communication, and we take this feedback very seriously.

We would like to assure you that this matter is being escalated as a priority.

A BAIC representative will be in contact with you to provide a meaningful update and a defined way forward toward resolving this matter as quickly as possible.

We truly regret that this experience has led to disappointment and want to thank you for your patience while we investigate the matter. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we remain committed to restoring your confidence in the BAIC brand.

Kind regards,
BAIC South Africa
JB
