This is the worst place you could ever send a loved one to… Please don’t make the same mistake that we made! We were initially very hopeful but ended up being absolutely appalled by the unbelievable lack of care (even basic care) given to our mother. We started noticing no interaction of residents by staff, no access to water, uncaring management, untrained staff. Our mum went in happy, bubbly and relatively healthy for her age but left in an awful, unrecognisable state. In short, she had bedsores; her dementia had progressed so much in a short period of time; she was immobile and so frail; she stopped talking; she lost so much weight, stopped eating and was extremely dehydrated. Worst of all, she ended up in hospital due to the phlegm on her chest not properly being taken care of. We had to teach her how to walk, eat and basically bring her back to life.
