Poor Treatment by manager on duty

<p>My wife and her friend went to Baby City in Hillcrest Corner earlier today to return two gift packs they received as baby shower gifts (therefore they had no receipts, their babies were born one day apart). My wife received the same product and our child had a skin reaction to it so she returned the unopened packs of it a week ago.</p> <p> </p> <p>She suggested her friend do the same as we were given a gift voucher as a return to spend when we need something else in the future. The same manager was on duty and I was with her on that occasion and there were no questions asked. </p> <p> </p> <p>We regularly shop in Baby City - Hillcrest Corner due to the close proximity to our house and also the good service and prices we have received in the past ( We bought a Graco travel system and camp cot as well as many other things, spending thousands before our child was born).</p> <p> </p> <p>I am highly upset to hear that today my wife and her friend were completely humiliated and made to feel like ******* in front of other customers waiting in the queue and were accused of bringing items back for return that they had not bought, but rather received as promotional gifts from a sales rep for the company Pure Beginnings.</p> <p>The manager refused to give them a refund at first and made a large specticle out of the problem and this was highly embarrassing for them both to be treated with such disrespect from a shop manager in front of other people. They both have small babies and this is the last thing they need to put up with from a shop where they should be made to feel welcome in!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>I feel like social media should be told this story as other young moms should be warned of this poor treatment in a shop they frequently utilise. My wife and her friend are too embarrassed after their public humiliation to go back to your shop in Hillcrest Corner. I hope to hear from you soon.</p>
