Bambino safety gate

Purchased Bambino safety gate on Saturday 16 May 2020 from Baby City Lifestyle Centre Ballito for R 1 299.99. The picture on the box does not specifically say that it could be hazardous if installed in a stairway. When it was installed on the stairway, it creates an additional height which the child must cross over in addition to stepping down the stair. The picture in the box demonstrate a flat area installation. When installed in stairway make it unsafe for children. This can not be foreseen prior to purchasing and installation of product. It is unfit for purpose which I intended. On Monday 18 May 2020 I took the item back to the store in original packaging. Roshini (***********) refused, over the telephone, to have the item returned. I asked for proof of refusal as I had brought the item back within 7 days as per Consumer Protection Act. I informed her that I will be taking the matter up with NCC.
