Baby City taking 7 months to deliver a baby bag!

I signed up for a dischem baby city rewards program and they said if I spend R1000 I will get a baby bag. They were well aware that they had a backlog of SEVEN MONTHS which they only told me afterward. This is in contravention of the consumer protection act as they are promoting something and not being honest about when it is being delivered- 7 months later? your baby is an adult at that point?! its ridiculous to promote something you cannot adequately deliver on.
