Return Policy

I was given some items as gifts that were bought at Baby Boom. Given that it is very uncomfortable to tell a person that you would like to return their gift as it is a duplicate I was hoping that Baby Boom would provide store credit or an exchange given that the bar codes matching theirs were clearly still visible on these items. Unfortunately Baby Boom insists on a receipt and therefore insists on me asking the person for their receipt which I believe is quite embarrassing! Interestingly I was told that had I set up my gift registry at their store, they would happily help me without a receipt! Talk about setting your own rules depending on what suits you. What frustrates me is that I did not ask for a cash refund! I simply asked for store credit so that I can purchase something that I can in fact use! The greatest irony... the item I wanted to purchase was over R1000 which means they would ultimately benefit by assisting me whereas now, I refuse to support them!
