Innocent shopper or undercover spy?

I was just shopping at baby boom and took literally 4 pics to send to my sister who is expecting so she can make decisions on colour choices etc for gifts that I was about to buy. But the shop assistant / manager told me to stop, that I'm not allowed to take pictures of the products. (I don't know how else to shop for my sister who doesn't live in my city, your website doesn't have any prices) When asked why I am not allowed to take / send her pics I was told that it is due to design theft. What an absurd assumption to project on to a paying customer!!! I don't work in the industry, I was so uncomfortable that I even felt the need to let the manager know that I have no affiliation to the industry in order to defend myself. Funny that I actually only visited the store to purchase an elephant toy and with in a few minutes I was about to spend thousands on gifts for my new nephew, but the whole experienced was ruined. I did put my name on the waiting list to purchase my original item which was out of stock but I'm sure I won't be back to this store ever in the future. I'd rather go somewhere else than shop where I'm made to feel uncomfortable or accused of potentially *****ing ideas or packaging styles. Why to go BabyBoom, you took something that was supposed to be such a lovely experience and turned it in to a nightmare. but thanks for saving my pay cheque!
