Bad Attitude

On the 26th of August, I went to Baby Boom Clearwater with my mother to exchange my baby shower gifts. We were assisted by a white man in the store (The only white man who works there) who told us we needed a gift registry or receipts in order to exchange the gifts. This didn't make sense to my mother and I as a baby shower is a surprise therefore a gift registry wouldn't be created nor receipts being available.

As we were about to leave the store, my mother was upset and told the man she'd bring back the cot she had purchased at the store. Without hesitation, the man told her that it doesn't matter she can bring it back (this was said with attitude of cause). My mother then looked over to me telling me (in my language) how rude this man is. He then said to my mother: "Excuse me! What did you say?" As though he was ready for a fight. I then told him it was ok and we walked out of the store. I looked back and he was busy frowning and swearing at my mother/or the situation.

About 30min later I then called the Baby Boom head office in Kempton Park to log a complaint. I spoke to a lady named Liezel who said she'd get to the bottom of the matter but didn't ask for my contact details. It is now a week later and I still haven't received any feedback.

Kind Regards Tsholofelo Mokhine
