Baby Boom in Contravention of the Customer Protection Act!

I was gifted a baby travel system in October which was purchased after viewing the same online on the baby boom webpage. Upon receipt I discovered the pram was too big for my car therefore would not serve the purpose.

I returned the same to baby boom Carlswarld where I was given a myriad of excuses as to why they won’t accept it. First; it was they can’t accept it cause it’s open because of Covid. To this I responded that it hadn’t been used and it’s upon opening the same that I was able to see it size. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to judge that it won’t fit my car. I was meant then given another excuse that they don’t take back travel systems with car seats.

Now, as far as the customer protection act stipulates, consumers are allowed to return goods. Baby boom is going against the act and forcing me the consumer to sit with an unsuitable product. In fact I did not even seek a refund I wanted an exchange to a more suitable Travel system. Worse this was a gift, chosen online the person who bought it for me trusted that it was suitable. This is day light ******* and what irks me the most is that it is in contravention of the cpa! Shame on you Baby Boom, safe today I will never buy from you again.
