Baby Boom does not care about babies!
I bought a pram from Baby Boom. Not even using it for two months and when I returned it on Saturday (16 Sep 2017) I was told to leave the pram there, mind you that my Baby Daughter was in the pram, they will send it to the supplier and it will take about 2 weeks for repairs. I told them I need the pram, I bought the pram for a specific purpose and they purchase was not serving the intended purpose. I had all the receipts, I wanted to buy another pram which was more expensive and return the poor quality pram (which by the way worked when I left the store 2 months ago) but I was told the same story, leave the pram it will go in for repairs and you can come back in two weeks. I again said I needed the pram because I take my 6 weeks old daughter for walks which soothes her and that I cannot be without a pram for 2 weeks. I was able to pay the difference for the "upgraded" pram and leave the "useless" pram at Baby Boom but the store manager, which is not competent or emotionally mature to handle such situations (please look into this for the reputation of the store) on duty started insulting me that I did not understand their policy. She then called Almara (not sure of the spelling) which was probably their customer service department. Almara also "pulled" store policy on me while my baby girl was crying in my arms.....she could feel my frustration. I do not have a job, the original pram was bought with donations from my family, I do not have a car and had to ask my mother-in-law, who is a pensioner by the way, to drive me to Baby Boom. I was insulted, I was assured that the staff and customer care (maybe it should be customer we don't-care) that they did not care how I've been inconvenienced, how my baby was crying while I tried to resolve the matter and that their store policy on returns meant more to them than my baby. Baby Boom, I am disgusted by your service and don care attitude. I am saddened by the fact that you could not accommodate my and my baby's needs. It was supposed to be a memorable experience, but it is one I will remember for the rest of my life - you just don't care about babies, which should be your first concern as you promote and sell products to bring ease and happiness to babies, but instead you bring tears, discomfort, inconvenience and sadness. You're not in the right market and your policies, whatever they are trying to serve means nothing if it does not serve your main clients - babies - you need to be client-centric for the market that you are operating in Baby Boom and quite frankly, you not caring about mothers and babies - NOT THE RIGHT APPROACH FOR A MARKET WHICH NEEDS TO COMFORT BABIES, "BABY BOOM". This is not the right attitude, policy, staff or products that you should be selling to Babies! VERY VERY HEART-BROKEN! (Not that you care about my baby or my feelings!). On the legal side, the NCR declares that returns must be validated (by receipt which I had) and even if I did not have a receipt Baby Boom should be able to look up the transaction - apart from that, the NCR promotes that customers should be satisfied and experience convenience in the returns process of goods to stores - this was not the case. Baby Boom's store policy is in contravention of the CPA, which makes provision for an item to be returned if it does not serve in a good order for the intended purpose for a reasonable time (6 months). Also, in line with the CPA, I was supposed to be offered and option of how I wanted a refund, as I said, I was willing to take a more expensive pram and pay the difference (now how is that not a win-win). Basically it comes down to this, Baby Boom intimidated me with losing the use of the pram by stating that it must go to the supplier for repairs for 2 (about) weeks, knowingly and after I repeated myself that I bought the pram in the first place for a specific reason and now that the pram is not working due to poor quality (which can only be ascertained once you use the pram) I need to resolve the issue - which is I need a pram for my baby! How you can Baby Boom even CONTEMPLATE to tell a mother of a 6 week old baby girl to wait for 2 weeks for the pram she paid for (well which family paid for)? Where is your sincerity, care and compassion? What do you think of your mothers and babies that buy your products? Nothing! No replacement pram offered for the 2 week supplier repair period, no options offered on my refund sot that I can buy another pram or visit another store, no satisfaction for me just a store policy that I have no interest in, my interest is my baby's well-being, no convenience, I had to spend a Saturday morning with my baby in my arms crying, no after-sales service as the customer service said "you can quote the CPA and NCR on me I don't care", no compassionate staff with a manager that bursts out and can't control her emotions in front of other patrons :-(. There is something fundamentally wrong here Baby Boom – (IF YOU CAN SEE IT FROM A MOTHER AND BABY’S PERSPECTIVE”, get your act together or not, it’s up to you, you know the consequences! So now, how can you satisfy my needs and that of my baby’s – can you generate any value and convenience now?
