Baby boom Cape Gate pathetic service and unprofessional

Am so disappointed in Baby Boom,in the beginning of March I bought Pampers Premium Nappies at Baby Boom in Cape Gate ,I bought the nappies as the sales person at the time encouraged me to take it, and I bought it.I gave birth in June.Soon after my sons birth I discovered that he was allergic to the nappies.I called Baby Boom and spoke to Lucinda she was not helpful or friendly at all ,this store clearly doesn't not value or put their customers first ,I explained the situation and asked if I could just exchange it ,she then told me that their new policy was no exchanges during covid ,I told her this is quite unusual as policy and procedures do not change overnight and I wasn't aware that a store could change the policy over night.She then told me she would speak to her manager and call me back.When she called me back the story changed now all of a sudden changed ,they could exchange it,but only with proof of purchase.What you have to understand is some nappies I bought and some were gifts.I then said I do not have the till slip for all of them but I have bank statements which clearly state it was bought at Baby Boom Cape Gate ,Lucinda spoke to her manager again and then he said no they need the till slips that's the only way they will do it.I was in shock as I work in retail and a bank statement is more then enough proof.I've been in retail for years and never have I treated a customer in this way ,clearly there are no values and no customer service put in place.When I called back to ask for the mangers name it was given to me in the worse attitude Clayton Abelse ,Lucinda said not once did the manager try and speak to me ,he just gave commands to the sales assistant Lucinda.These nappies are all in the original packaging and in the box.A poor baby who is allergic to it now has to suffer . I have never had such pathetic service and unprofessional behavior with such poor customer service .I will never shop or encourage friends and family to purchase anything at Baby Boom Cape Gate ever again
