Worst moving experience ever

If I could rate below 1 star believe me it would be minus 100. Billy Lightfoot has the gift of the gab. Promises the earth but when it comes down to it it's all empty promises. I had 2 moves scheduled 1 week apart. Paid dep.for both moves. Billy then makes contact and says if I pay both moves in full (in advance) he will give me free boxes. I then paid the smaller move in full and after about a week some boxes were delivered. I then paid the second, larger move in full as well. Promise after promise that the boxes will be delivered (this for about a month). Everytime I queried I was told "but we are giving u these boxes for free" - no, u offered the boxes in return for me paying in full up front. Anyway, boxes eventually arrive 1 week before my move and only after I physically drove to the offices in Paarl. 1st move goes reasonably ok so I request the same team for the following week and Billy agrees and says everything is booked and scheduled. The movers were meant to arrive by 8:30am.....many communications back and forward with Billy (who says he was dropped by some other contractor - not the guys he said he scheduled). Eventually, at around 5pm on Sat 28th a truck arrives, in the pouring rain. Billy tells me he has bent over backwards to get someone to move me - even though I booked and paid in full more than a month in advance. Anyway, guys load in the rain and travel to new home. There they start offloading boxes, which are all damp now, into the garage. Just tossing thwm in because of the weather and the late hour. Get to my big appliances and they refuse to continue offloading as Billy had only paid them a deposit and still owed them money from February. Billy says funds havent cleared and he couldnt pay for another day or two. So there goes my appliances. I called Billy and threatened to be at his offices 1st thing Monday morning, with the police in tow and would be laying a theft charge against him. Sunday, he pays the driver who then advises that he will come back to offload the remainder of my furniture. To this day Billy hasnt made contact with me to find out if, in fact, my stuff was delivered. I posted a review on FB to which he then responded saying I havent told all the facts and again saying he gave me free boxes. This man is a con artist and believes his own lies. Do urself a favour and stay far away from BA Transferers.
