VIOLATION OF THE PRIVACY ACT.

I fell across this website B2BHINT.COM - they are in violation of the POPI Act by publicly publishing my private business information on their website. I was doing a search of my name and found this website displaying my private /personal information online without my consent.

According to POPIA, personal information is information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person and, where applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person. A juristic person includes a company, trust or close corporation

I have never interacted as a client with organisation. Nor have I given them permission to openly display my privacy on the world wide web. I request that B2B Hint immediately remove my information and refrain from using people's information without their consent. This is highly *********, and unacceptable.

POPIA requires responsible parties to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of personal information. The responsible party must, under Section 19, take appropriate, reasonable, technical, and organizational measures to prevent: loss of, damage to, or unauthorized destruction of personal information. The POPIA provides for the right to civil action i.e. individuals can face both ******** and civil liability for non-compliance with the provisions of the Act. Sincerely. WJB
